Tom Brennan passed away at age 77 on October 22, 2012 after a 14 month battle with cancer.  He was renowned for his love of family, Notre Dame, the Air Force and Eastern Air Lines.

While at Notre Dame, Tom was a member of the AFROTC.  After graduation in 1957 he joined the Air Force where he flew trainers,  F-100, F-102 and F-104 aircraft.

On August 26, 1963 Tom, having left the Air Force, was hired by Eastern.  While in training in Miami he met his wife-to-be, Becky.  Becky was teaching 2nd grade in Hollywood, FL and they were introduced by Becky's sister, Barbara, who had known Tom at both Wheelus AFB and Lakenheath AFB where she was also a teacher.  They were married in 1965 and made their home in the DC area where Tom was based.  He was also in the Andrew's AFB guard unit at the time.

In 1966 they transferred to Chicago and have made their home in the Chicago suburbs since that time.  He and Becky were married for 47 years and have 3 children and 5 grandchildren.

As a graduate of Notre Dame, Tom was famous for his tailgating events that welcomed all.  He flew for Eastern for 25 1/2 years and finished his aviation career at United Air Lines.  He was a highly respected Captain with a special sense of humor.  Although the most frugal guy on a layover, he was otherwise generous to a fault.  He and Becky were active participants and helpful hands at all Chicago Eastern reunions.
